Free Books!

You all know that I am working on my resolutions for the year. The dinner that we had last night didn’t exactly stay in my healthy eating habits but it was pretty delish. One resolution that I have been working hard on is my reading list. Only four finished so far but I have another four already started that will I will be adding shortly. Another resolution that we have been working hard on is our budget. Buying lots of books does not exactly go with my budget- I find that those are the kind of purchases that add up quickly. Two ways to get around that.

Today I saw on twitter that many of John Piper’s books are available for free download on his website. John Piper is a minister, theologian and author and was even kind enough to speak at our home church, The Village, when our pastor was out with health issues. He is a prolilfic author who is most famous for his book Desiring God. His books are widely read and widely respected and now they are free! If you CLICK HERE you can read most of John Piper’s books for free and download them pdf. If you don’t like reading on a computer but have a Kindle or iphone/pad you can easily read them on there with these instructions. Heck I would say that a laser printer and a cheap ream of paper would still be a cheaper way to read them then having to buy at Barnes and Noble!!

Another great resource is ChristianAudio.com I think I have blogged about it before but they give away an audio download of a book for free each month. For March you can download RC Sproul’s Holiness of God for free in several formats!

Hopefully if you are trying to add a little more reading into your life with out sabotaging your budget these links will help you out.
