We have been loving the sunshine that we have been blessed with lately and Saturday was one of the first times that I have worn short sleeves outdoors in months! (I did have a sweater tucked in my purse for the evening)

We decided to get out an enjoy the sunshine on Saturday by going to the chocolate festival at Southbank! Chocolate?!?! Festival?!?! Count me in! The festival wasn’t very big but the chocolate sure was good.

Salted Caramel Chocolate Egg

My indulgence: dark chocolate

Mike’s indulgence: chocolate ice cream

Mike’s face when he realized that it was “Share Your Ice Cream with Andrea Day!!”

Both of us were taught never to take candy from strangers in vans but surely our parents didn’t mean this van:

It was a great time and the beautiful weather made it even sweeter! We had a lovely weekend and hope you did too!

We sure lucked out on the weather while we were there, but, darn it, we missed the Chocolate Festival! Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday! Probably won’t upset you at all that I spent part of my Saturday at Target!! Love you, Mom

Ahhhhh . . . sunshine, short sleeves, Saturday, sharing ice cream, strolling with your sweetie, and to top it off, strangers with chocolate! In the words of Chandler Bing, “Could it BE any better?” 🙂

Thanks for sharing your experiences! I could almost taste the salted caramel chocolate egg! Will those take the place of Cadbury Easter eggs as your Easter chocolate of choice? BTW, is “salted caramel” an oxymoron?

I’m so glad it’s finally WARM there. Did you come home with chocolately hands and faces?

We are in for a “freeze” here tonight. All of my tender begonias, my new herb garden, ferns and geraniums went into the greenhouse last night and tonight. I DO hope this is the last time!

Enjoyed our phone chat tonight. Love u!!!!
