To answer the question that none of you asked: Scrabble, pizza and Fox News. What was the question? It was: What do Republicans do when they are in London surrounded by liberals, Democrats and socialists on election night?
There were parties at pubs and clubs all over London last night, but they all leaned more blue than red. So we decided to have our own non-party party at our friends Sarah and Ivan’s place because they have Fox News and we do not. Sarah also happens to be the only other Republican that I know over here and therefore she is the only person I could stomach being around. (Ivan is British, but we let him stay anyway.)
You must remember that it was 11 over here before the first polls closed on the east coast, so we had several hours of watching the same stump speeches and lots of possible senarios on the magic map. We decided to suplement with some Scrabble that took a decidedly political turn.
The evening went on and we yelled at the tv, ate pizza, watched my favorite Karl talk about what was going to happen, yelled at the tv, played Scrabble, griped about how much we hate Oprah and yelled at the tv some more. Then we left after midnight so we could go home and yell at our own tv and fall asleep on the couch. Our results faces:
Our just-in-case-no-chance-in-hell faces:
Oh, you wanted to talk about the election itself? Haha……….. no.
