Crazy Larry’s: A Night in Pictures

Sometimes you do things that you normally don’t do, just for the heck of it. Or maybe you don’t, but we did so follow me here. Our friends, Laura and Brian, are ending their stay in London and returning to the states in a week. They wanted to go clubbing. So we got a group together and set out to go clubbing. (Cool people don’t use the G, they go clubbin’- I am using the G. Infer what you will.) The London club scene is huge over here- everyone is seen going in and coming out of various clubs in the papers. We don’t think we made it to the gossip mags  but we had fun! Some of us got together to hang out and have pizza before we went out, because you don’t go until after 11.

Hanging in our friends Sara and Ivan’s flat.

Then we went to the club. When we got there it was still early (around 11:15) and we got a table which is always good. Here are the girls: L-R Leah, Laura, Sarah and Andrea.

The boys, L-R Brian, Mike, Ivan and Derek

Then we decided it was time to dance. I like to say that I have all the rhythm that a white Baptist girl should have. But talent did not stop us from getting our boogie on until around 1:45. We also decided that we were just the people to get up and dance on the platform at the front of the dance floor. Don’t ask me the logic behind that decision!

The dance floor. It was hot. August in Texas doesn’t have anything on the temperature inside this place. I was sweating like I played a basketball game in a sauna.

So we got home and crashed. This old couple isn’t used to being out until 2. It probably won’t become a habit of ours but it is fun every once in a while!

About fishandchipsandsalsa

This is the story of a newlywed-ish couple in Dallas about to pack up their lives and pups to move to jolly ol' England. They will miss good family, good friends and good fajitas.

Wow, you have had a busy last two months. They say “Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a pathway to your door.” I think you personify the “Move to London and friends and family will beat a pathway to your flat”.
I have just returned from my stint in the junior high volleyball concession stand. I can make a mean Frito Pie.
My favorite quote of the night. As a mother was ordering a pickle and hot pocket her seven year old said “Mom, This is the best supper!”

Sounds like “fun”???? Wonder why that place wasn’t on the list of things to do with me, Nana and Aunt Carolyn??? Great pictures and I’m glad you are having fun. Love you, Mom

  3. Andrea says:

Mom, next time- you, me, Nana and Aunt Carolyn are definitley hitting up Crazy Larry’s. It’ll be legen..wait for it…dary!!

The title that I gave it was my second choice. The first was “Look Mom, We have FRIENDS!!!!!!!” But that sounded sad and pathetic so I changed it. 🙂

Even 5000 miles away, you can always make me laugh out loud!
