Ireland: Part 3

The best part of the tour was the Cliffs of Moher. They were breathtaking. The visitor center was amazing because you could barely tell it was there by the entrance but it was huge inside.

The cliffs were used as the Cliffs of Insanity in The Princess Bride. Mike would yell, “inconcievable!” at random times the whole day. The cliffs:

We are bad at following signs.

That night we went to the King’s Head Pub. When King Charles was going to be executed, Cromwell didn’t want an Englishman to do it and two soliders from Galway volunteered to behead the king. They were given the building that is now The King’s Head Pub. After dinner on Saturday night we walked there to check it out.

We went in and watched a bit of the football game going on and decided to try the national drink, a pint of Guiness. The foam is so thick it looks like it should be a coke float!

I think that this picture illustrates my feelings on Guinness.

We had a great time even though it was a short trip! I hope we get to go back to Ireland at some point. It is an easy European trip because they speak English-ish. I am pretty sure they think it is English, but it isn’t really.

About fishandchipsandsalsa

This is the story of a newlywed-ish couple in Dallas about to pack up their lives and pups to move to jolly ol' England. They will miss good family, good friends and good fajitas.

I am enjoying your blog and the pictures are great. I hope that next time you wear long pants so you won’t freeze. I was hurting for you because I hate being cold.
    Love you both, Nana
