I am trying to include more pictures here so that you can see some of what we see!
Why don’t they call them toothpicks?
It was just siting there calling to us. It was locked up We resisted. We were walking around the city (a very nice part, despite the picture) and just thought that it was so funny. We see stray buggies all the time now just beggin’ for homes. You should adopt one if you can.
Inside the National Gallery. It was really a beautiful building inside even if it didn’t have all of the paintings.
Van Gough’s Sunflowers. I have always loved that painting. It takes me back to 4th grade when sunflowers were on freaking EVERYTHING. I’m pretty sure I had a jumper. Moving on.
The National Gallery. Once we left the museum we walked into the square and there were masses of people in red, blue and yellow in the center and they had a stage set up and clearly something was going on. There was an event called the Big Dance and thousands of people got on the internet and learned a long dance, most had practice groups and then they met up on Saturday in Trafalgar Square together to dance. I think that there was one going on in Paris as well. It was so weird- people were crazy!!!
Later that night we grabbed some dinner (we may or may not have indulged in a repeat performance of the pork tacos from last weekend). Then we headed to the ultimate…Mamma Mia! It was so awesome!! Even Mike begrudgingly admitted that it was pretty good. I love Meryl Streep but didn’t see her in the part but she won me over big time! Everyone else was perfectly cast even though Pierce Brosnan singing was so awkward that I couldn’t look at him. Go see it. Please. I have been singing the songs in my head for days. Go ahead and put the dvd on my Christmas wish list!
