Today we went to the Borough Market and the Tower of London. The Market was great, there were tons of booths and most of them let you sample! We sampled cheese, fruits, olives and breads. Apparently I love aged goat cheese.
Smoothie Law: When faced with smoothie choices containing unknown ingredients, always pick the pink one. Yum-o.
It was quite crowded but we had lots of fun! This would be a fun place to go when you all come visit!
We are trying to do more touristy London stuff on the weekends. If we do a little at a time it is much more fun. (I tend to get easily overwhelmed with sightseeing and just want to go home!) The Tower was fun and tiring.
We did the audio tour which was very interesting. The crown jewel exhibit is in the Tower but the line for it was wrapped from the back of the castle all the way to the front. It looked to be about an hour long wait so we skipped it and went for the White Tower exhibit. It had lot of old armor and guns.
Each of these horses were accompanied by armor from one of the kings of England throughout history since about the 15th century. It is interesting to see how armor changed through the years from thick fabric to bronze to steel. There was also a chapel, residences and the torture chamber. This is one of our favorite places that we have been here and would definitely recommend it to y’all.
I told you sightseeing does weird things to me.
