We thought that pictures of the pups would be a good way to get this thing started! Last week we took them to the Vet to have their blood drawn. The vet will send it to Kansas to have it tested to prove to the Queen that they don’t have rabies and can come live in London. The six-month waiting period started the day the blood was drawn (as long as they aren’t rabid- fingers crossed!!) Actually it is more complicated and their blood has to test PERFECTLY or we have to do the test again and start the waiting again.
They took the pups one at a time to draw the blood. Hannahbelle came back with a little spot of alcohol on her fur where they disinfected and took the blood. Easy peesy. Kricket was gone for a long time and when the girl brought her back she was covered in alcohol spots and had a bandage on her leg because that was the only part of her they could hold still!
So the six-month waiting game has started. We can’t imagine what we are going to do without those crazy pups running around every day.
